Sound Ministerial Services provides non-denominational ministerial services for all of your spiritual needs including wedding ceremonies, funerals, baby dedications and baptisms throughout the greater Puget Sound area. But, our most important mission is to support and work with those of all beliefs, be that Christian, Muslim, Judaism, Wicca or Atheist, throughout the community in order to build a strong sense of spirit through mutually respecting works performed by all who live in it so that we can strive toward coexistence among our neighbors, no matter what we believe individually. It is our mission to be there for people through all walks of life in a way that accommodates all beliefs within our community.
In times of economic despair, it is our community that suffers most. Parks are left unkempt, those who have lost employment struggle to maintain their homes, streets become littered and the paint on vacant business buildings begins to peel. This has a dramatic impact on the morale within a community. Individuals become introverted and focused on their own survival because there is no where else to turn for help and their surroundings only reflect how bad things are. One unfortunate by-product of this can be homelessness. We provide help through community work parties that are staffed primarily by shelter residents.. We work with many of the local faith based organizations to bring them together and show the community that we are all one in this world and that we can all work together to make it a better place to live and that we can make sure that no child is left on the street. We can put the preaching aside and work together. It doesn't matter what god you pray to or even if you don't pray at all, we all know how to lift a paint brush or sweep a street. It is our goal to show the local community and the world that it is possible for everyone to work toward a common goal. We can put aside our petty differences to help our fellow man.
Sound Ministerial Services was founded by Bishop Marcus Croman in an effort to bring communities and faiths together as one, especially in the smaller suburbs of the Puget Sound area that suffer most from economic downturns and to work with and for the local Interfaith Councils in areas they may not normally serve. Bishop Croman has been a member and practitioner of many faiths and churches throughout his life and found that despite all of their differences, debate, battle and wars, there is one common thread within them all, a strong sense of love for others within their own faith. Bishop Croman felt that this could be broadened to include everyone, regardless of faith. That this sense of love could be extended to someone of another faith or even to someone without any faith because they are our neighbor. That it could be done without asking them to listen to any message or be recruited to convert, that it could be done simply because it needed to be done.
